FT 401 represents advisers with an average of 18 years of experience advising DC plans that manage $950 million in DC plan assets. The advisers are from 41 states and Washington, D.C.
Each adviser making the list has a minimum 20% or more of their total client assets in DC plans with the average at 74%. In addition, advisers have at least $50 million in DC plan assets under management (AUM). The graded factors include for inclusion on the list include: DC plan AUM, growth in DC plan AUM, degree of specialization in the DC business, experience, industry certifications, participation rate in DC plans advised and compliance record. Neither brokerages nor advisers pay a fee to The Financial Times in exchange for inclusion in this list.
